Selectronix supply Fibre Optic and Copper Fibre Channel GBICs. These products are made to an industry standard, allowing them to plug in and operate in any manufacturers Fibre Channel hub or switch.

Transmission distances:

Copper 'Active' = 30mtrs (DB9 or HSSDC)

Copper 'Passive' = 15mtrs (DB9 or HSSDC)

Fibre Optic 'Multimode' = up to 500mtrs (SC Duplex or new LC dual port)

Fibre Optic 'Singlemode' = 500 to 20KMs (SC Duplex or new LC dual port)

The range is currently available in 1.0625Gb/s and 2.125Gb/s.
