| DTS | Platinum M-Cell SSD | The Platinum M-Cell SSD won a best of show award
at Interop Tokyo 2009. Leveraging the proven performance of the earlier generation (3.5") Platinum HDD, the new Platinum M-Cell SSD is a 2.5" SATA compatible flash SSD with 1GB internal RAM cache and capacity options of:- 32GB to 64GB (SLC) and 128GB, 256GB and 512GB (MLC). Sustained R/W speeds are 250MB/s. Random R/W speeds are 90MB/s and 100MB/s respectively. Transaction performance is upto 40,000 random IOPS. Due to the huge cache - endurance is significantly improved compared to earlier generations of flash SSDs due to write attenuation. (Opposite of write amplification). Shipments start in June 2009. |
