• editor's comments:- Among other things - Synopsys offers a processor family based on the ARC (Argonaut RISC Core) originally developed by ARC International (whose IP - by successive acquisitions - ended up being owned by Synopsys).
  
  
  The ARC IP is available with outline characteristics optimized for a wide spectrum of uses (low power, high performance, array processor etc) and has extensible architecture.
